Neurotoxins
One of our most popular treaments, neurotoxin injections reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. When injected into specific muscles, neurotoxins temporarily reduce contraction, which can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines caused by facial expressions, such as frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines.
What to Expect
Your provider will examine the areas you are interested in treating and make recommendations based on your individual needs and goals. They may take photos of your face or other treatment areas to help them develop a personalized treatment plan.
Anticipated Downtime
There is typically no downtime for neurotoxin injections. There may be some temporary side effects associated with the treatment, such as redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site that should resolve within a few hours to a few days after the treatment.
How much do I need?
The amount of neurotoxin is measured in units. Your provider will determine the appropriate amount of Botox needed based on their assessment of your individual situation and goals. In general, the amount of Botox used for a typical treatment can range from 10-50 units per area, although this can vary widely depending on individual factors.
'Tox Dosing - Start now!
For younger patients, smaller doses (micro-dosing) is often recommended for those beginning to notice the signs of aging and want to preserve their natural facial expressions, or for patients who have already undergone traditional neurotoxin treatments and are looking for a more subtle touch-up.
Repeated treatments over time can lead to a weakening of the treated muscles, which may require less of the neurotoxin to achieve the same level of muscle relaxation. In some cases, regular use of neurotoxins may also help prevent the formation of new wrinkles and fine lines.

What are masseter injections?
Enlarged masseter muscles can cause the jawline to appear wider or more square-shaped than desired, leading some people to seek treatment with neurotoxin injections. By injecting the neurotoxin into the masseter muscles, the muscles become temporarily weakened, which can help to slim down the jawline and create a more contoured appearance.
